Natural Log Cabins LLC is family-owned and operated and has helped over 350 families live their log home dream. As premier Michigan log cabin builders, our story began in 1984, when founder Richard Troyer mastered the craft using Montana’s dead-standing Lodgepole Pine. After building his first solo project in the Northwest, Richard brought that expertise to Central Michigan in 1987, where we have spent the last four decades perfecting the art of hand-crafted cabins as Michigan log cabin builders using native Michigan Red Pine.

We utilize a professional 3D Architect program to customize your home, ensuring every detail—from roof design and settling to full log gable ends and purlins—is built for beauty and low maintenance.
What Will the Cost Be?
We notch and build your project in our own yard, then sell it to you in a kit form, numbered and ready to go. Unlike other Michigan log cabin builders who might hire out to untrained third parties, we offer on-site log kit and dry-in shell reassembly ourselves. Depending on the distance, we can also install the roof system, doors, and windows to ensure your home is sealed properly.
To get an accurate bottom-line figure, we prefer to sit down with you and your house plans. As experienced Michigan log cabin builders, we know there are many variables—dormers, lofts, eves, porches, and log sizes—that affect the final cost. Because we are Michigan log cabin builders who use local Michigan Red Pine trees and run as a family business, our low overhead allows us to offer a welcomed lower price.
Once your structural log shell is complete, we carefully number every single piece in our yard to ensure a smooth transition to your site. This precision labeling is a hallmark of our building process, making the reassembly straightforward whether you choose to have our experienced team of Michigan log cabin builders re-assemble the cabin on your site or you decide to handle the project yourself. While we handle the heavy lifting of the log work and the loading at our facility, this system ensures you have a clear, organized roadmap for the final assembly of your home.
